Structural & Outfitting Inspector for a new build platform (wind-industry) on a yard in Dubai.

Rotation scheme : TBA

Expected duration : 2 – 2,5 years

Important experience of the candidate: Already worked in a similar position on a platform.

Structural & Outfitting Inspector

 ·          reports to the Site Team Manager.

 ·          familiarizes himself with the current procedures and on-site SPs in place by the contractor & subcontractor

 ·          familiarizes himself with the drawings related to his activities

 ·          builds up a sound knowledge of the specification, Rule & Regulations

 ·          supervises; checks the execution of work and services to verify compliance with contract and technical documentation.

 ·          monitors erection / outfitting based on the erection schedule.

 ·          verifies that the quality control documentation is completed and all inspections are done.

 ·          ensures high standards of safety and quality for all erecting / outfitting operations.

 ·          reviews Inspection and Test Plans

 ·          participates in pre-construction meetings

 ·          participates in inspection as per approved ITP requested by contractor / subcontractor

 ·          carries out inspection, surveys, witnesses of subcontractor activities

 ·          issues Observation Notes and Request for Information and NCR's upon any findings

 ·          monitors and tracks corrective actions identified through to resolution.

 ·          identifies impediments or risks to quality and project execution.

 ·          being an active participant in providing quality related root cause analysis and corrective action support needed to eliminate errors and improve overall quality.

 ·          monitors the contractors Quality Control incl. examination in progress of pre-fabrication and erection of structural steelwork and corrosion protection, review quality of workmanship, documentation.

 ·          provides advice and guidance to team members on structural steelwork / outfitting and provide a mentoring platform for team members.

 ·          monitoring and controlling of construction progress and material supply

 ·          liaises with the TOG SHE coordinator on-site on any findings related to SHE aspects

 ·          Interface to contractors and sub-contractors structural / outfitting department.

 ·          Interface to TOG engineering team and O&M team of TOG.

 ·          Interface to CA, designers, technical experts for all structural and corrosion protection related issues.

 ·          prepares and follow up on the punch list (list of outstanding items).

 ·          issues weekly reports highlighting main events, look ahead and area of concerns and additional reports as required based on the information available.

 ·          verifying the construction upon completion incl. final documentation related thereto
