Currently our client a multinational operator company in Oil and Gas
industry in Malaysia requires position as below:
SENIOR GEOPHYSICIST
Work and based location: Malaysia(Indonesian Only)
Job Requirement
Conduct interpretation of seismic data (2D and 3D), integration
with well data and seismic reservoir characterization for input to the
following activities:
1) Identification of
exploration leads
2) Prospect maturation
3) Identification of viable
and safe drilling locations
4) Well planning
5) Resource and volumetric
assessment
6) Seismic and shallow
hazard survey design
7) Seismic and shallow hazard survey acquisition and processing
parameter selection
8) Support for seismic
acquisition and drilling operations
9) Field appraisal and
development planning
10) Participate in technical
meetings with other groups, partners and national oil company
Develop, mentor and train less experienced technical staff.
Qualification & Experience
· Degree in Geology, Geophysics or related subject.
· Minimum of 15 years relevant experience in geological or
geophysical roles, with 10 years of oil and gas related experience.
· Experienced in 2D and 3D seismic interpretations, attribute
generation and interpretation, integration of well and seismic data, structural
and reservoir mapping with an emphasis in data challenged areas.
· Good understanding of seismic survey design, acquisition and
processing including but not limited to seismic reservoir characterization and
AVO techniques.
· Good understanding of well planning and drilling operations.
· Current hands-on experience in use of landmark or GeoQuest
interpretation platforms.
